Floaters and Flashes
We're are having such horrible cold, snowy weather this February in the North East. I usually take photos of my art work outside but not only has it been too cold to stand outside for any length of time my favorite spot to prop up the painting to shoot is covered with snow. Excuses, excuses!
On top of the terrible weather I had an emergency trip to the eye doctor last week, experiencing cobwebby things and flashes in my right eye. Turns out all is ok, and as the nice doctor said "as we get older....". Glad I went as the symptoms were the same as what could have been very serious. No pun intended but "we're keeping an eye on it".
When I came home I decided to turn a half way done abstract into what the artist (me ) saw, hence the title Floaters (the cobwebby things) and Flashes. This was a piece of 156 pound Arches roll cut to 32" x 32" but I ended up cropping it to 32" h x 23" w. Mixed Medium on paper.
