Abstract - Warning Series 2015

This year I decided to do an abstract series with Warnings as titles. This is the third painting in the series.

Square canvas 20"x 20", mixed medium of charcoal, glass marker, acrylic.  Bridge Freezes First is warning we sometimes see at the beginning of a bridge. During snow and rain in cold weather the bridges in our area freeze first due to the fact that cold air is able to circulate all around and under the bridges . So even though the road is wet the bridge can be icy. This painting reminded me of  an icy bridge hence the name "Bridge Freezes First". When I started this series I didn't start out to do a painting- a- day but it has happened. It appears the cold weather in northern NJ has frozen the bridges this January and kept me inside painting. Ah-Spring!

I love it!

Hi Jinnie,
The Warning Series, "Bridge freezes First" is very interesting.
I also see a (head and neck) profile of an African Woman with an ornate headdress and a coiled head wrap.
To me, the background resembles geographical regions, and the many Countries that remain in the 10/40 window. (The "Unreached People groups").
I'm also a bit into "World Missions" so I definitely see this here in this beautiful painting.
Keep up the awesome work!
GOD Bless you!
Regards,
Diane
