Thoughts and paintings by Jinnie May

My painting full of symbols and memories won Best in Show 9/22/2024 with New Jersey Art Association at the Chatham Library, Chatham NJ. The judge's remarks were;

To Dance with my Father Again

This artist creates an emotional power through a mastery of formal elements. A harmonious, limited color palette, compelling composition and dynamic brushwork all work together to create a visual story. Multiple layers of memory and longing appear in this work as its title suggests.

Thanks to all!
