Down the Shore
In New Jersey we don't go "to the beach" or "to the sea or "to the ocean" or "to the coast". We go "down the shore". This is my view of the Jersey Shore. New Jersey is surrounded by water, the Hudson River to the North, the Delaware River to the west and the Atlantic Ocean all along the East Coast. Doesn't matter where you live in the state we all go "down the shore"!
This painting was being completed along side my abstracts. If I had any paint left over from the abstracts, instead of throwing it out I added to this shore scene. If you look closely you'll see some sunburn, sand crabs, sea gulls and Nos-Kote. Lots of the people aren't in perspective but we do come in all shapes and sizes and I was just having fun. Down the Shore is 40" x 40" x 1.5" on stretched canvas, gallery wrapped and ready to hang.
