Sketching Each Other
I'm part of a critique group that meets monthly, Partners in Paint (PiP). Normally we bring 3 paintings and critique each others work. Food and wine are a must! We have been meeting since 2011. We use many different mediums and have different styles. Sometimes we try something new. This past month our host was Marilyn and she suggested we each do a 10 minute sketch of each other. After 90 minutes we had completed eight portraits of the nine members present. As you'll see from the drawings some of the group are experienced portrait painters, others brand new to portraits. It was a lot of fun and we got to take home the portraits done of ourselves. Each sketch was 10 minutes.
